Pan-African News Agency:Security Council
Is Another Civil War Coming?
Pan-African News Agency,Beijing, March 30, 2018
A collision broke out during the Session 2 of Security Council. “They are crazy. We cannot promise it shall not trigger another civil war,”said by Lv Zhengbo, the delegate of Equatorial Guinea, after the conference.
The rebuilding measures of Iraq remained an intractable question after the last session. Today, delegates of France emphasized Security Council needs to send troops to Iraq and conducts troop training, which are also included in the Working Paper.
15 years ago, United States of America began Iraq War for the reason of anti-terrorism. Now France, along with United States of America and United Kingdom use the same reason again to propose military deploy and training. It is not unreasonable to question whether this proposal may trigger another civil war.
“Military training is a serious process, and it may interfere the sovereignty of Iraq. What Iraq really needs right now is peace-keeping police rather than peace-keeping forces. Those developed countries should focus more on the rebuilding of Iraq, not their own interests,” also said Lv Zhengbo.
PANA will continue following the discussion. We hope that Iraq shall gain what it really needs.
